Paradise Co casino revenue rises 12.8% in October

Paradise Co reported a year-on-year increase in casino revenue for October 2026, with stronger table-game and machine-game sales lifting its monthly total despite a decline in customer spending at gaming tables.
The South Korean casino operator generated KRW82.12 billion (approximately US$61.1 million) in casino revenue during October, representing a 12.8% increase from the KRW72.81 billion recorded in the same month last year.
However, the result was 4.6% lower than September's KRW86.05 billion, indicating that the latest improvement was primarily an annual comparison rather than continued month-on-month growth.
The October figures cover Paradise Co's four foreigner-only casinos: Paradise Walkerhill in Seoul, Paradise City in Incheon, Paradise Busan and Paradise Jeju Grand.
Paradise Co casino revenue grows despite lower table drop
The latest operating figures highlight an important difference between customer activity and casino revenue.
Paradise Co recorded table drop of approximately KRW595.90 billion in October, down 2.2% from KRW609.47 billion a year earlier. Table drop represents the amount of money customers exchange for chips before participating in table games.
Despite the reduction in this measure, table-game revenue increased 12.7% year-on-year to KRW76.55 billion.
This divergence points to an improvement in the company's table hold rate, which measures the proportion of table-game wagers retained as casino revenue.
Paradise Co's October table hold rate reached 12.85%, compared with 11.15% in October 2025. The higher percentage helped the operator generate more revenue even though the amount exchanged for chips declined.
The figures illustrate why table drop alone does not provide a complete picture of casino performance. A property can report lower customer wagering activity while producing stronger revenue if its hold rate improves.
Nevertheless, hold rates can fluctuate considerably between reporting periods because gaming outcomes are not consistent from month to month. October's improvement should therefore be considered alongside longer-term operating trends.
Machine-game revenue also supports growth
Machine games provided an additional contribution to October's increase.
Paradise Co reported machine-game revenue of approximately KRW5.58 billion, up 14.5% from the corresponding period last year.
Although machine games represented a smaller portion of the company's monthly casino revenue, their growth complemented the stronger performance from table games.
Table games generated approximately 93% of October's total casino revenue, reinforcing their importance to the operator's overall gaming business.
The combined performance of both segments helped Paradise Co achieve double-digit annual growth despite the weaker table-drop figure.
The latest disclosure does not provide a complete breakdown of October profitability. Consequently, higher casino sales should not automatically be interpreted as an equivalent increase in operating profit or net income.
Mixed performance across Paradise's four casinos
The company's October performance also varied across its individual properties.
Paradise Walkerhill in Seoul recorded a particularly strong result, with casino revenue increasing 42% year-on-year.
Paradise City in Incheon also delivered growth, reporting an 11.4% increase compared with October 2025.
However, the smaller operations in Busan and Jeju experienced declines, with revenue at each property falling by approximately 57% year-on-year.
These differences indicate that the group's overall growth was not evenly distributed across its casino portfolio.
Walkerhill and Paradise City were the principal contributors to the positive property-level performance, while the weaker results in Busan and Jeju demonstrate the contrasting conditions within the company's domestic operations.
For an operator with multiple properties, this distribution matters because consolidated casino growth can conceal significant differences in individual venue performance.
The figures also underline the importance of monitoring results beyond the headline revenue percentage when assessing the strength of a casino group's operations.
Paradise Co maintains growth through October
Despite October's month-on-month decline, Paradise Co maintained positive cumulative growth during the first ten months of 2026.
Total casino revenue reached KRW826.03 billion, representing a 10.9% increase from KRW744.78 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.
Table-game revenue contributed KRW773.15 billion, up 10.4% year-on-year. Machine-game revenue increased 18.5% to KRW52.88 billion.
Cumulative table drop reached approximately KRW6.37 trillion, an increase of 7.1% compared with the same period last year.
The difference between cumulative revenue growth and table-drop growth suggests that improved revenue retention has also contributed to the operator's performance over the ten-month period.
Machine games continued to expand at a faster percentage rate than table games, although their contribution to the overall revenue base remained considerably smaller.
The cumulative results provide a broader perspective than October's individual performance, showing that Paradise Co has maintained growth across its principal gaming segments throughout most of 2026.
Hold rates and monthly volatility remain key factors
October's results highlight the importance of separating wagering activity from the revenue ultimately recognised by casino operators.
Paradise Co generated higher annual casino revenue despite recording lower table drop, with the improvement in hold providing an important explanation for the difference.
However, the 4.6% monthly revenue decline demonstrates that the business has not maintained uninterrupted growth across consecutive reporting periods.
The performance of individual properties also remains uneven, with the stronger results at Walkerhill and Paradise City contrasting with declines in Busan and Jeju.
For the remainder of 2026, the key indicators to monitor will include table-game revenue, machine-game performance, customer wagering activity and hold-rate movements.
The company's next reporting periods will help establish whether October's stronger revenue retention represents a sustained improvement or a temporary change in gaming outcomes.
For now, Paradise Co enters the final two months of 2026 with casino revenue growth of 10.9% for the year to October, supported by stronger annual results across both table and machine games.
