Discover Tech Innovation at SBC Summit Rio as industry leaders explore the tools, strategies, and technologies shaping Brazil’s regulated betting market.

As Brazil enters its second year of regulation, technology is quickly becoming the deciding factor separating market leaders from those struggling to keep pace.
Taking place on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, at the Riocentro, the Tech Innovation track at SBC Summit Rio will cut through the noise, giving attendees the clarity, frameworks, and priorities required to compete in a rapidly maturing ecosystem.
By breaking down complex regulatory, product, and infrastructure demands, the track will guide attendees toward the tools and strategic choices that can guarantee the biggest competitive gains.
“In the first year of regulation, everyone’s priority was getting to grips with the new rules. In year two, the mindset is already evolving," said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC.
“Operators and suppliers now want to push beyond the basics and ask, ‘How do we get ahead?’ Technology is central to that next step. The sessions in this track will show where the smartest investments are and how innovation can translate into stronger performance in Brazil’s rapidly maturing market.”
Each session in the track digs into a different aspect of Brazil’s digital evolution, from content and compliance to engagement and scalability, offering delegates a deep dive into the technologies defining the industry’s next chapter.
The track will open with a panel discussion delivered by Serpro, titled Building Brazil’s Regulated Digital Infrastructure. The session will take delegates behind the scenes of the digital systems underpinning Brazil’s newly regulated betting market, examining how player data verification, system certification, and secure connectivity are being implemented in practice. Attendees will come away from the panel with a clear understanding of how Brazil’s regulated betting infrastructure is being put in place and what it means for the market’s next phase of development.
The panel Engineering the Next Generation of Casino Hits, will analyse how designers are utilising player psychology and gamification mechanics to build games for Brazil’s mobile-first market. Experts Stefano De Andrade Lima (Country Manager Brazil, Brabet), André ‘Sapuca’ Nogueira (Product Manager, BetMGM), and Marcelo Vazão (CRM & Product Director, BetEsporte) will explore how crash mechanics, intuitive UX, real-time gamification, and data-driven design are shaping next-generation casino content built for Brazil’s modern player.
The session Player Protection Isn’t Just a Regulatory Checkbox will explore how operators can use technology to meet Brazil’s responsible gaming requirements. Featuring Laura Beatriz de Souza Morganti (Director of Consumer Relations and Advocacy, BetBoom), Luciana Hendrich (Partner, Hendrich Digital Content), and Allison Santos (Ombudsman and Responsible Gaming Director, VBET), the panel will spotlight which safeguards are genuinely worth investing in, from real-time self-exclusion and deposit limits to proactive risk-management systems designed to identify and support at-risk players earlier.
Closing out the track is the panel 2026 World Cup: First Kick in a Newly Regulated Market, exploring how operators can prepare their sportsbooks for Brazil's first World Cup under regulation and the surge of new players it will bring. Experts Felipe Costa Nadalini (Account Executive, Optimove), Carla Dualib (Business Development Manager, SOFTSWISS), Maykon Martins (CEO, Tigerbet), Samuel Vilar Pereira (Head of Sportsbook, UXGroup), Bruno Rodrigues (COO, Bet Aki) will unpack the strategies required to capitalise on this high-intent moment, the tech investments that will define success, and the loyalty-building tactics that can sustain engagement long after the final whistle.
Also featured on the track will be a panel presented by FERJEE, Brazil’s Esports Federation. The Game in a Digital Arena: Integrity and Compliance will look at how the betting industry can maintain compliance in Esports betting, where betting volumes have increased by 40%, but fear of match manipulation and betting fraud remains high. Drawing on FERJEE’s governance work and industry expertise, the panel will examine how compliance frameworks are evolving to meet these challenges.
The Tech Innovation track forms part of the wider SBC Summit Rio agenda and is one of five dedicated tracks designed to help delegates navigate the Brazilian market. It sits alongside Leadership, Affiliation, Payments, and Marketing.
SBC Summit Rio will welcome 15,000 attendees for three days of networking, education, and business development, running 3–5 March 2026.
