The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taipei 2025 has been announced with its largest guaranteed prize pool ever.

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taipei 2025 has been announced with its largest guaranteed prize pool ever. The poker festival will feature 126 events with PHP 313 million (TWD 126 million, about USD 5.4 million) in total guarantees.
Record-Breaking Main Event
The centerpiece of the festival is the Main Event with a PHP 121 million (TWD 70 million, approximately USD 2.1 million) guaranteed prize pool. Players can enter for PHP 94,900 (TWD 55,000, about USD 1,680).
"We've seen incredible growth in Taipei, and this expanded guarantee reflects the strong player base in the region," said an APT spokesperson.
New Bigger Venue
The tournament will move to the new Red Point Business Center, which can hold over 100 poker tables. This larger space will help handle the growing number of players after 2024's record-breaking events.
More Events for All Players
The schedule includes options for players of all budgets:
The Micro Main Event: PHP 3.5 million (TWD 2 million) guarantee with PHP 19,000 (TWD 11,000) buy-in
Mini Main Event: PHP 25.9 million (TWD 15 million) guarantee with PHP 43,100 (TWD 25,000) buy-in
Daily high-roller events, including the Superstar Challenge with a PHP 1.38 million (TWD 800,000) buy-in
Special Focus on Mixed Games and Women Players
The festival will feature 38 mixed-game events, moving beyond typical Texas Hold'em to include:
Dealer's Choice
Stairway to Seven
Double Board Bomb Pot formats
Women players will find daily tournaments specifically for them. The winner of the Women's Main Event will earn a seat in the Women's Championship Event later in November.
"Our women's events in Manila were very successful, so we're expanding this initiative to Taipei," the spokesperson said.
Strong Local and Online Partners
Natural8, an online poker site, is sponsoring the event. The festival is also partnering with the Chinese Texas Hold'em Poker Club (CTP) to ensure strong local participation.
Poker experts expect this combination of bigger prizes, more game variety, and special events to attract players from across Asia and beyond, further strengthening Taipei's place on the global poker map.
