Delaware iGaming bets help push August wagering to $365M

Delaware’s combined sports betting and iGaming wagering reached approximately $365.2 million in August 2026, with online casino activity accounting for the overwhelming majority of betting volume.
Data published by the Delaware Lottery shows that iGaming bets reached approximately $348 million during the month, while sports betting generated about $17.2 million in wagers.
The figures underline the growing importance of online gaming within Delaware’s regulated gambling market as digital casino wagering continues to generate substantially more betting activity than sports betting.
Delaware iGaming leads August betting activity
Delaware iGaming generated $348.0 million in table and video gaming bets in August, based on Delaware Lottery figures.
Table-game betting reached approximately $139.0 million, while video gaming bets totaled about $209.0 million. The two categories combined represented the bulk of the state’s online wagering activity.
The August iGaming total was higher than the approximately $285.1 million recorded in August 2025, representing an increase of around 22% year over year.
Net gaming revenue from iGaming reached approximately $13.0 million in August 2026, including revenue from online table games, video games and poker.
The Delaware Lottery reported $12.97 million in total net gaming revenue for the month before operating expenses of the Lottery and Division of Gaming Enforcement.
Delaware sports betting adds $17.2 million
Sports betting contributed a further $17.2 million in wagers during the August reporting period.
The Delaware Lottery recorded $17.16 million in sports sales, compared with approximately $19.11 million in July. Sports betting therefore represented a much smaller portion of Delaware’s combined digital wagering volume than iGaming.
Sports betting generated approximately $1.28 million in net proceeds for the August period, with the state share reaching about $713,600.
The Delaware Lottery’s figures cover the state’s three casino properties — Delaware Park, Bally’s Dover and Harrington — as well as sports lottery retailers.
Combined Delaware betting volume tops $365 million
Combining iGaming bets of approximately $348.0 million with sports betting sales of $17.2 million produces a total of about $365.2 million for August.
That represented an increase of roughly 21% from the comparable August 2025 combined total, when iGaming and sports betting generated approximately $302.1 million in wagers.
However, the combined figure was about 3.3% below July 2026, when the two sectors generated approximately $377.6 million in wagering activity.
The monthly movement illustrates the different scale of Delaware’s two digital gambling segments. While sports betting remains an established component of the state’s wagering market, online casino activity continues to account for most betting volume.
Online gaming remains a key Delaware market segment
The August figures provide another indication of the scale of Delaware’s regulated iGaming market.
Across table games and video games, online wagering exceeded $348 million during the month. The state’s regulated operators also generated nearly $13 million in net gaming revenue from iGaming, before operating expenses.
The Delaware Lottery continues to publish monthly data covering wagering activity and revenue distributions across the state’s licensed gaming properties.
For the wider US iGaming sector, Delaware remains one of the smaller regulated markets by population, but its monthly figures contribute to the broader expansion of legal online casino gaming across the country.
The latest data also demonstrate the importance of distinguishing between betting volume and gaming revenue. The $348 million iGaming figure represents wagers placed, while the approximately $13 million figure represents net gaming revenue after the relevant deductions and gaming outcomes reported by the Delaware Lottery.
For August, the headline $365.2 million combined figure therefore reflects wagering activity rather than operator revenue.
