German authorities have raided a suspected illegal online gambling operation linked to €5.86 billion in wagers between 2021 and 2023. The investigation involves five suspects and includes an estimated €77.6 million tax shortfall for 2024. Authorities also imposed an €82 million asset restraint as Germany continues efforts to combat unlicensed gambling and strengthen channelisation into its regulated online gambling market.
