China has sentenced three leaders of the Wei family criminal network to death over Myanmar scam compounds, illegal casinos and telecommunications fraud. The first-instance verdicts, announced by courts in Fujian province on October 13, also handed life sentences to three defendants and prison terms to 55 others.
