PAGCOR Backs Special Class Business Process Outsourcing

PAGCOR supports Special Class Business Process Outsourcing (SCBPOs) for creating Filipino jobs and drawing foreign investment, says Chairman Tengco.

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Special Class Business Process Outsourcing (SCBPO) companies, acknowledging their significant contributions to the Philippine economy. 

SCBPOs provide a range of essential back-office services to these overseas gaming companies, including human resources, marketing, graphic design, accounting, and other administrative support. This specialization allows the gaming companies to focus on their core business activities while relying on the expertise of Filipino professionals in these supporting roles.

In a statement, PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco lauded SCBPOs for generating thousands of jobs for Filipinos and attracting foreign investment.

Tengco emphasized the unique role of SCBPOs in supporting the operations of legitimate overseas gaming companies, many of which are publicly listed firms. These companies rely on SCBPOs for essential back-office services such as human resources, marketing, graphic design, accounting, and other administrative support.
